"Fourth grade is the single most shaping year of a human being's life. You learn
values in the 4th grade by watching the adults in your world."
-- Bob Biehl, author of Mentoring and Executive Mentor
Fourth graders are on the cusp of adolescence, and have the language skills and cognitive ability to gather information and formulate opinions and thoughts
that are well-organized and thought-out. They are at a stage between childhood and adolescence where they still like and listen to adults.
Most importantly, 4th graders are fun to be around!
Activities, sports, and clubs can help 4th graders feel confident in themselves as they form safe relationships outside the family.
